Income Tax Report
The income tax report on Landlord vision is really poor compared to other software packages. For example if you had 10 properties and wanted to run and print out a detailed finance report for the current year so far - its just an absolute jungle of figures. The properties are not separated out, either for income coming in or expenditures going out there are no sub totals for each property. The idea of a detailed report is to give a full account of the figures that are easy to read and understand and gives the Landlord a user friendly version of all his inputs. Landlord vision definitely does not do this.
I would like to suggest the following a Detailed Income Report is included for each tax year. It will separate out all properties how much they were paid and when they were paid (with the option to choose accrual or cash) with sub totals at the bottom for each unit. The same is done for all expenditures against each property with dates and sub totals. You could also have an option to include any other income. There could also be a generic expense for all properties if there was a common area that needed servicing eg car park, landscaping, insurance if a block of flats etc
Please note most of these features were in an old software package they produced called Landlords property management which a was really good. I am going to assume its the same people coding this software so they should have a good understanding of how to do it.
