Managing your portfolio Settings

To change any of the settings on your account, navigate to My Portfolio, you will find this located top left of your screen, use the drop down arrow and click the 3 dots > Settings
We recommend that you work through the Main section of Settings early on to make sure that Landlord Vision runs the way you want it to.
This will open a screen very similar to this:
From here you can change various parts of your Landlord Vision account under the headings. Simply click on the menu item to edit it.
Main
Income and Expense Categories - When you add a expense or Income item you have to select a category. You can edit or add any items in here
Chart of Accounts - In the Chart of Accounts you can manage all of your credit cards, bank account and nominal accounts, including income, expense, asset accounts and more. Many of them will have associated Income and Expense Items. The Chart of Accounts contains places for most of what you will need but it is fully configurable if it doesn't
Email Notifications - You can instruct Landlord Vision to send you daily and weekly summaries about your portfolio including due and overdue rents and other less frequent events like expiring safety certificates and tenancies.
Mail Merge Templates - Go to the Mail Templates tab to set up your template for emails that you want to send to multiple people, either at once or individually over a period of time. Click the green + to start making your template and use the Insert mail merge field to insert a Mail Merge field into your letter at the point that the cursor is positioned.
E-signatures - Enter Signable sub-account details here. Please provide the details below to create a Signable sub-account for your portfolio. Once this is done you can then send e-signatures from Landlord Vison.
If you are using Landlord Vision to issue invoices, you will need to update the next two sections:
Document Header - Add a header for your reports and invoices. You can upload a logo, add some text or a combination of each.
Invoice Settings - Add payment instructions to the bottom of your invoices, and reset the invoice numbering if you need to. Note that the software wont raise the same invoice number twice.
Work Order Settings - Change your work order numbering in this section.
Early Warning Settings - By default, Landlord Vision notifies you one month before anything expires. You can change this for each early warning type in here.
Service Desk Settings - Update your ticket numbering system for the Tenant Service Desk in Landlord Vision. Also use this to tell the software which of your users will receive notifications about new tickets.
Tenant Application - Select which sections you would like to send to your prospective tenants for the application form. All questions within each section are required, so if you don't need certain information, disable the section here.
Types
Many sections have Types, where you can tell the software what type of something it is, for example, in Safety Certificates, the default types are Gas, Electrical and EPC. You can add new types either in these sections, or in the Add page. Use this section to remove types you do not want.
Tags
Many sections use tags to differentiate between different data types. Use this section to update or remove tags.
Custom Fields - It is possible to add custom mail merge fields for commercial tenancies. You can edit them here.
Integrations - If you are on the Enterprise plan, the Integrations section will appear. You can use this to connect to other products. Please see the separate help notes for each section.
